Lisa Miller

Graduate Student

Lisa is a second year graduate student in the Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program at Northwestern University. She completed her undergraduate studies at Ohio State, majoring in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Neuroscience. In the lab, she is investigating the role of the dentate gyrus in learning and memory, utilising trace eyeblink conditioning in mice. Ultimately, she will be using in vivo recordings in conjunction with DREADDs and optogenetics to inactivate the dentate gyrus during different stages of the trace memory task. Additionally, she wants to investigate the role of adult-born granule cells in learning. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys playing board games and training for powerlifting.
